Build self-confidence

If you are not a naturally confident person the guitar is a great tool in which to help build self-confidence. Playing to other people no matter how big or small the group will give you a confidence boost that no new clothing or hairstyle can provide. Even if performance is not your thing then knowing that you are progress on an instrument is something to be proud of and can provide you with feelings of fulfilment and pride. Other no musicians will see you playing something very simple and be amazed at how well you can play, they have no idea how difficult the song maybe, to them you already are a guitar genius even if you can only play three chords.

Creativity

If you are a creative person or even if you are not the guitar is a great instrument to inspire creative thoughts, the guitar can be used in any style of music from kids songs all the way to drum and bass. One of the best learning tools is playing with someone who is far more advanced than you. Other musicians will also sympathise with any issues you maybe having early on in your learning as they will have been through those themselves, other guitar players are not all ego freaks who were born with the ability to play we have all been along a similar road. Guitar gives you opportunity’s to join bands and there is a vast opportunity for live performance with open mic nights, which are a great place to meet other guitar players and learn from others.

Guitar student age

You can learn the guitar from any age, you are never too old or young to start playing or return to playing.
